Pillowy soft buns filled with lightly salted butter and topped with a crisp, coffee-flavoured crust — this lazy papparoti recipe gives you all the bakery-style goodness with barely any effort.
We all love papparoti, don’t we? One of the things I used to miss the most in Dubai was walking into Papparoti and getting those warm coffee buns fresh out of the oven. My dad absolutely loved them, so it became one of those little rituals for us growing up — stopping by for papparoti and coffee whenever we could. I already have a classic papparoti recipe on my blog where you make the buns completely from scratch, and while it’s so worth it, sometimes you just want the easy version.
So this is my lazy papparoti recipe — the shortcut version that still tastes unbelievably good. Instead of making the bread dough, we’re using soft store-bought slider buns, stuffing them with butter, and topping them with a simple coffee butter mixture that bakes into that signature crispy crust on top. The inside stays soft and fluffy, the butter melts perfectly into the bun, and honestly, it tastes almost like the real thing with half the work. Perfect for when the cravings hit but you don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen.
