Freej Swaileh Style Cream Corn Soup

Chicken Corn Soup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Sweet corn kernels
  • ¼ Cup Milk
  • 2 Cups Chicken stock You can use the one with msg to achieve that exact taste.
  • 1 Small Onion chopped chopped
  • 3 Cloves Garlic Chopped
  • 100 Grams Chicken Cut in small cubes
  • 1 Tbsp All purpose flour
  • Black pepper powder
  • 1 Tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 Tsp Onion powder
  • ½ Tsp Oregano Optional
  • ½ Cup Cooking cream

Instructions
 

  • Ina blender jar, add ½ cup corn, milk and stock and blend until smooth.
  • In a pan pour olive oil and add onions. Sauté until soft and golden in color.
  • Add garlic and sauté for a minute.
  • Add flour and let it cook for a minute.
  • Add the chicken into this and combine.
  • Add garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and oregano and mix. Cover and cook until the chicken is tender.
  • Pour the ground corn mixture into the chicken mixture.
  • Let it come to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Pour cream and turn off the flame.
  • Add parsley in the end and garnish with a few tbsps of cream on top. Serve with lemon and croutons.
