This whole wheat batura is a deep-fried, puffed-up bread made with whole wheat flour, offering a wholesome twist on the traditional recipe.

Whole Wheat Batura
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Yoghurt Not too sour
 - 1 Tbsp Oil plus more while kneading and for deep frying
 - ½ Tsp Salt
 - 1 Tbsp Sugar
 - 2 Cups Atta Whole wheat flour
 - 2 Tbsp Semolina Rava
 - ½ Tbsp Baking Powder
 
Instructions
- Combine all the dry ingredients.
 - Add oil and mix.
 - Add yoghurt and knead well to a semi soft dough. Add more yoghurt if you feel dough is getting hard.
 - Let the dough rest for 1 hour
 - Roll it into small oval shapes. Do not roll it very thin or else it won’t puff well. Don't make it very thick too.
 - Heat oil and once it becomes very hot, fry the batura in it. Flip and cook on both sides and drain on an absorbent towel.
 - Serve with curry.
