Chicken Shawarma Buddha Bowl

This Buddha bowl is a healthy version of chicken shawarma served in a bowl in a salad form.

Ingredients

For Chicken:

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

For the Shawarma Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yoghurt
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • salt to taste

To Assemble:

  • Cooked rice (any type you like)
  • cucumber
  • capsicum
  • chickpeas
  • sweet corn
  • tomatoes
  • avocado
  • edamame
  • parsley
  • hot sauce

Instructions

To Fry Chicken:

  • Marinate chicken with the above mentioned ingredients.
  • Shallow fry in olive oil.

To make the Shawarma Sauce:

  • Add all the ongredients in a blender jar and blitz unitl it forms a smooth sauce.

To Assemble:

  • Add all the ingredients in a bowl starting with rice and ending with shawarma sauce and hot sauce.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

You can add potatoes too. Just cut it in small cubes and shallow fry or air fry it.
Sunflower seeds, pomegranate, avocados etc can be added as well.
